Since its inception in 1996, RxPR1DE, LLC has grown to encompass more than 3,300 pharmacies in 48 states; and continues to seek successful networks of pharmacists (PSAOs) to add to its membership base.
MPC paid much of RxPR1DE's organization expenses because it believed in its dream of becoming the nation's first independent pharmacy network. RxPR1DE serves as a single "national" contracting and pay point, and not only welcomes, but encourages, independent pharmacy input at each network's headquarters. That "dream" consisted of independent pharmacists throughout the United States acting and thinking like their retail chain counterparts.
One of RxPR1DE's goals was to form a cohesive organization that might have an impact on higher reimbursements. And, since inception, RxPR1DE has successfully renegotiated 13 health plans with higher reimbursement rates.
RxPR1DE's MISSION STATEMENT
The mission statement of RxPR1DE is to harness the energy of independent pharmacists throughout the nation into a highly competitive network to assist in securing health plans. RxPR1DE provides collective bargaining power and contracting prowess.
RxPR1DE, LLC pursues this mission by engaging in a collaborative effort of assisting independent pharmacists through existing networks or associates; through broad operational goals which include increased business opportunities; the ability to maintain a competitive position in a national marketplace, and the sharing of information between networks.
These efficiencies are immediately realized in reduced time in negotiating national contracts and in centralized health plan information.
